Mr. Charlie continues to grow and take big steps! This 5 month old has upgraded to a big boy bed!! He is able to sit up in his boppy now and watch the mobile spin. He loves looking at his mobile and tries to swat at it sometimes!

Charlie is still on wall oxygen and is doing great! He’s starting to stay awake longer throughout the day and is very bright-eyed. He is such a good, happy baby.

Charlie next to the octopus that was the same size as he was when he was born. He is wearing one of Theo’s old sleepers (size 3mos).

He is getting a little better at bottle feeding each day! He gets fed every three hours but only bottle feeds every other time. He gets very tired when he bottle feeds so they like to give him a break in between and just feed him through his tube. The most he has taken (out of 80 mL) was 50mL and it was when dad was feeding him! It was a very nice bonding moment!

The doctors have said that the only thing preventing him from going home is feeding. Once he gets the hang of it and can eat a bottle regularly, we should be on our way! So we don’t have a date or anything, it’s all up to Charlie.

Please continue to pray for Charlie’s lungs and that he can master the art of eating so we can finally bring him home! Thank you all so much for your prayers! Have a wonderful week!

OMGOSH...what a big boy. He's got to be the biggest baby in the NICU. Looking at him in a big bed sitting up just like he knows what he's doing & loving it. What a cutie. 50 cc/bottle is great. Giving him a break every other feed is probably a really good idea as it goes better w/ the bottle that next time. Someone Lindsey knows who also had a NICU babe had trouble learning to bottle feed when she got her home...as so many other things were more important at the time. (You know about all that for sure)...but he sure acts like he knows what to do with the bottle. Now just to open those tiny l…
