We are so proud of our Charlie! He is 9lbs 6oz and doing so well! He continues to impress everyone with how far he’s come and as always, it’s been a huge blessing to watch him grow and thrive.

Charlie has an eye exam today, and his eyes are both now at stage zero! This is wonderful news!! They are going to do another exam in two weeks to keep up on his progress. We want to say a big THANK YOU for praying for his eyes and trusting that God would heal them. Prayer is so powerful!

Charlie is still on the wall oxygen and doing great! He loves not wearing the cpap mask and seems so comfortable. He is doing a great job eating as well! He gets to try and bottle feed every three hours, and he does better with it each day. It is a lot of work for him to remember to swallow and breathe, so it tires him out quickly but he is learning and doing better than anyone thought he would. In true Charlie fashion, he surprises everyone and proves that he calls all the shots.

On Mother’s Day, we had a family friend/photographer take some special pictures of Charlie! It was a Harry Potter themed photo shoot with the very first chapter of the first book, “the boy who lived.” It is so fitting for Charlie, considering the medical team did not think he would survive. But here he is, surviving and thriving! He is brave and strong, (a true Gryffindor), and these pictures are the perfect representation of Charlie’s story.

We thank you all so much for praying for Charlie and keeping up with his progress! He has come so far and it has been amazing to watch his progress and share it with you. Please continue to pray for his lungs; that they grow and adjust to being on the wall oxygen. He is moving in the right direction to him coming home. Let’s pray he stays that way!

Oh my, he's truly a miracle when you think of how he has progressed. Prayers are now for him to continue in this same fashion. What a great gift you are on your Mother's BD. Take some deep breaths and aerate those lungs to expand them to the max. Wish we were able to kiss him...so Mom/Dad will have to do it for us. Love you all.
