Today was a very special day for Charlie! Mom finally got to hold him for the first time! He has been doing so well since his surgery that the nurses and doctor felt he was ready to do skin-to-skin care. It was a slow and steady process to get him on mom because he is still on the ventilator and has so many lines hooked up to him, but it was very rewarding for everyone. His stats were looking great the entire hour he was on mom! Next time, dad will be able to hold Charlie so he can bond with both parents.

Charlie is very stable still and nothing much has changed. He is getting more of mom’s milk every 3 hours but other than that, the doctors are very pleased with where he is at. He is so wonderful and we couldn’t be happier. Please continue to keep him in your prayers; that he keeps progressing and giving God the glory!

And what a treat/treasure this had to be. Wonder who loved it more...Mom or Charlie?
