Charlie is 2 months old today and he is doing great! Not many new changes but the things that have changed are huge for our little man! I can’t believe it’s been 2 months already, yet I feel like I’ve known Charlie forever. What a sweetheart!
Today, Charlie got his 17th blood transfusion; his first one in 2 weeks! That is the longest he has ever gone without getting one. As always, we are thankful that there is blood available to make life possible for our precious boy.
Charlie is officially over 3lbs and continues to grow! It is amazing how much different he looks now than he did on the day he was born. He looks healthy and huge!
Another victory for him is that he has been maintaining his own body temperature! Before, he had a temp probe on him so we could see his temp all the time, and his isolette could adjust its temp to either warm him up or cool him down as needed. Now, it’s been set at the same temp for a few days and he has kept his temp the same, too! Way to go, Charlie!
The doctors are pleased with Charlie’s progress and are going to just let him rest and grow. He is still on the ventilator but we are hoping with a little more time, he will be ready to try the CPAP again. Even with the tubes and bar around his mouth, he is very smiley today!
Please continue to pray for Charlie’s lungs and that he will be ready to take the next step soon! Thank you all so much for your prayers and God bless!

Wow! Look at that Big Smile! So cute. Happy that he is doing better. The primetimers have him on our prayer list. Kristin Cope
Isn't he just beautiful? To me he looks like Theo. So thankful for all his progress. Mom tells me his O2 concentration isn't at all like I assumed (100%) and hasn't been for quite awhile...which is such a good thing. Praying for all of you. Hope you're getting enough rest and keeping up with this hectic schedule. Love to all.
