Charlie has been having a good week! He is getting lots of rest and is really starting to grow! He is such a sweet little baby.
Earlier in the week, Charlie got a new breathing tube! It’s the next size up because he’s finally big enough for it and his oxygen levels have really improved. This helped with that air leak he had with the smaller tube so he is back to being on one ventilator! We’re hoping this will give him time to rest and grow so that his lungs will get stronger and he can get off the ventilator faster.
That is the only big news for the week! He has quite the little personality and we love getting to know his likes and dislikes. He LOVES being on his belly and his stats are always best in this position. He also likes to suck on his breathing tube so we’ve tried to give him a pacifier and he loved that! He doesn’t mind bath time and he likes to snuggle mom and dad. He doesn’t like to be messed with though, like diaper changes or getting his temp taken. He is one strong-willed baby! He also is one pound over his birth weight! Go Charlie!
We thank you all so much for supporting and praying for Charlie and our family! We thank God for each and every one of you!

So glad to hear he's up a whole pound and now has a tube that doesn't leak (probably way more comfortable). He's just so beautiful. Praying for all of you. May his (& yours) day be peaceful.
Dear Sarah,
Now that you are back to work, we anxiously await your weekly post regarding Charlie's progress! We can't believe how he has grown, you can really see the changes in his pictures. It is amazing how his personality is developing right along with his body and organs! Take care of yourself as it has to be very difficult balancing work, caring for Charlie, and chasing after an active 3 year old. We continue to keep you all in in our daily prayers.
Love, Aunt Joani & Uncle Terry
