Charlie’s first Easter! He had a very nice day and did a lot of resting. The nicu was kind enough to leave an Easter basket for him and even hid eggs all over the unit for Theo to do a little egg hunt. We are very blessed to be in this unit and have such special people taking care of our boys!

Charlie is over 5lbs now (yay!!), and doing great! He gets about an ounce and a half of milk through his feeding tube every three hours, which he is tolerating really well, but he likes to take that tube out at least once a day. He either pulls it out with his hands or he uses his tongue to push it out. He’s a stubborn little guy!

Charlie is still on CPAP, his eyes are still improving (he will have another routine eye exam tomorrow), and he’s just working on growing and resting. He loves to snuggle, suck on his pacifier, and bath time. He is pretty content the majority of the time, and when he’s awake, he is very bright eyed and squirmy. It is so much fun to watch him grow!

We are so thankful for our miracle baby and for all of you who are praying for us and keeping up with Charlie’s story. Today, we have so much to celebrate and it’s all because of God’s love for us! Let’s not forget the real reason we celebrate Easter:

“He is not here; He has risen!”

Matthew 28:6

What a wonderful Easter Sunday, celebrating in the Risen Lord and thanking Him for all His blessings. What an awesome God.

Can't wait to see you all.
